90 90 90 Drill

 

This player in an attempt to “get through” the golf ball was over doing it.  That happens all the time.  In the left photo, he has turned his shoulders approximately 110 degrees, his hips 100 degrees and his trail knee 110 degrees.  It was causing wild misses and inconsistent contact.  We worked on the 90 90 90 drill.  He was cued to stop each segment, shoulders, hips and knees at 90 degrees.  That measurement is from impact moving each segment 90 degrees towards the target and stopping!  This drill greatly increases this players contact, ability to hit the ball farther and control the curve of the golf ball.  Golf’s true fundamentals.  Practice the 90 90 90 drill as often as you can, with and without a ball and you will become a better ballstriker.
