Extension in the Backswing

Many players of a certain age believe that cannot make a complete backswing.  In this comparison the instructions for the player were as follows:

  1.  Bend your left knee and straighten your right knee.
  2. Get the right shoulder to the “0” point.
  3. Tilt to the left at the start of the backswing.

Three very achievable cues that produced the results shown in the comparison photos.  So much for not being able to turn his shoulders.  An increase of around 30 degrees in shoulder turn coupled with better extension on the backswing and now he is in a powerful place to hit the ball better and much farther.
